I make handbuilt stoneware pottery - dishes and tiles decorated with leaves and lettering, and wall pots with faces. These evolved from making portrait heads and range from serene to grotesque, Green men, gargoyles and masks. The containers can be planted so that the foliage becomes 'hair'.
I repeat some designs but the hand-building process means that no two pots are exactly the same. The pots are fired to 1280° - 1290°C making them non-porous, durable and frost-resistant.
